nyc’s priciest prix-fixe menus

Here is a list NYC’s priciest 3-5 course set menus. Gordon Ramsay took the top stop after it raised prices by twenty-five bucks to $135. Eleven Madison Park and Del Posto (tied with Le Bernardin) now occupy the #2 and #3 slots, in the wake of price hikes following four-star Times reviews. Check it out:

  1. Gordon Ramsay: $135 ($143 after bon bons).
  2. Eleven Madison Park: $125 (includes a billion freebies).
  3. Del Posto & Le Bernardin: $115
  4. Daniel: $108 (up from $105).
  5. River Cafe: $100
  6. Jean Georges & La Grenouille & The Modern: $98
  7. Gotham Bar & Grill: $95
  8. Le Cirque: $92
  9. Marea: $91
  10. Corton (with Liebrandt) & Gilt (post-Liebrandt) & Aureole: $89
  11. Gramercy Tavern: $88
  12. AsiateLincoln: $85 (previously longer $125 tasting menu at latter)
  13. Ai Fiori & Aquavit: $84
  14. Colicchio & Sons & Blue Hill & Annisa: $78
  15. SHO: $75

We food writers often focus on “the most expensive tasting menus in America,” and hash out the usual “Masa, Per Se, etc.” So I thought I’d so something different here, by focusing on the shorter, non-tasting menus. Included are links to Bloomberg reviews by Ryan Sutton (that’s me), Alan Richman and Richard Vines. Where appropriate, I have linked to reviews by Sam Sifton and Frank Bruni of the New York Times. This list is a work in progress. Please e.mail any suggestions so I can update this posting.
