del posto has raised its dinner menu to $115, the same price as le bernardin. that’s up 21% since my (negative) review in october of 2010, when the price was $95. the tasting menu has also risen $20 bucks, or 16%, to $145. still, we need to remember that mario batali’s italian restaurant, which holds four stars from the new york times, had been charging $175 in 2008 for the longer tasting menu. del posto then lowered that price to $125 in the depths of the recession. so some fluctuation was to be expected here as our economic recovery advanced. that said: NO DEAL.
