Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
The maximum price on today’s chef’s tasting at Per Se is $510 per person. Thomas Keller’s three Michelin-starred Manhattan restaurant is offering a $100 black truffle option, along with the regular $40 upcharge for foie gras and $75 for high-end caviar. The nine-course menu, as always, starts at $295, service included.
Here are the supplemental items of note tonight, which are also available in the a la carte Salon for walk-ins:
Bacon and Eggs: Tsar Imperial Osetra Caviar, Applewood Smoked Bacon Custard, Hen Egg “Crêpe” and Yukon Gold Blini. $75 addition to the $295 menu, or $125 in the Salon.
Braised Pork Belly, “Dégustation de Pomme de Terre,” Caramelized Sunchoke “Velouté” and Pearl Onions: $100 addition to the $295 menu, or $125 in the Salon.
We’re curious to see whether we’ll have another $610 menu sometime this summer, which can occur when Per Se offers a $100 Wagyu supplement, in combination with the black truffles, foie gras and caviar.
